Reflecting on the Chicago Midwinter Meeting, our Head of Dental, Rubi Begum, and Director, Oliver Morgan, attended the event that drew a staggering attendance of 21,000 individuals. This figure included 5,568 exhibitors, showcasing an array of innovation and trends within the dental industry. Our presence at the event underscores Morgan Latif’s dedication to remaining at the forefront of industry developments, particularly those that resonate with our ethos of innovation and sustainability.

Bridging Innovation and Sustainability in Dentistry 

The Chicago Midwinter Meeting served as a platform for exchanging groundbreaking ideas and practices in dentistry. A trend that particularly stood out was the emphasis on sustainability within dental practices. Exhibitors showcased eco-friendly materials and technologies designed to minimise the environmental footprint of dental operations. This aligns with Morgan Latif’s commitment to supporting sustainable practices across the industries we serve. 

New Product Releases that We Discovered:

  1. Dentsply Sirona: Introduced the Primescan Go, a portable version of their popular Primescan intraoral scanner. It offers the same high-quality scanning capabilities in a more compact and flexible design.
  2. Planmeca: Unveiled the Planmeca Emerald S, an updated version of their intraoral scanner with improved speed and accuracy. They also showcased the Planmeca Creo C5, a new chairside 3D printer for producing dental restorations.
  3. 3Shape: Presented the TRIOS 4, the latest iteration of their TRIOS intraoral scanner series. The TRIOS 4 boasts enhanced scanning speed and accuracy, along with new features to streamline the digital workflow.

Empathy and Leadership in Dental Care 

Amidst the technological advancements, the importance of empathy and effective leadership in dental care was a recurring theme. Exhibitors and speakers highlighted the significance of building strong patient relationships and fostering a positive workplace culture.
